Abstract
Biological Arithmetic Logic Units
In article number 2500296, Yi-Sheng Lai and Hung-Yu Shen design unique biological logic gates via the Venus flytrap and compose them into the core arithmetic logic unit of the plant-based biocomputer. This design translates digital signals into visual biological behaviors and allocates the computational resources via natural living plants that are both interesting and educational, stimulating interest in environmental protection and technology education.
