Abstract
The Shell Grotto (New Garden Potsdam) - The indoor climate with regard to the moisture diffusing through the floor
In the diploma thesis on which this report is based, the indoor climate behaviour of the mussel grotto in the New Garden in Potsdam was investigated as a function of various ventilation scenarios and considering the moisture diffusing in via the floor. Before the indoor climate was investigated and the hygrothermal behaviour of the building was evaluated using simulations, geotechnical and building physics investigations were carried out as part of a building survey. In the hygrothermal building simulations, particular attention was paid to the building physics interaction between indoor climate and moisture-laden floor. Finally, possibilities for reducing the indoor air and surface moisture as well as the moisture situation of the floor were identified.
