Abstract
The wave functions and ground state energies of 12C and 6Li nuclei in the alpha cluster model are calculated using Feynman path integrals and hyperspherical functions. Calculated α-cluster separation energies and charge distributions are in good agreement with experimental data. Additional calculations in the shell model of a deformed nucleus for 12C and a spherical nucleus for 6Li also are in good agreement with the experimental data for the charge distributions.
