Abstract

This article presents an algorithm which, is based on experimentally measured beam positions in the synchrotron beam chamber, allows one to estimate the geometric displacements of quadrupole lenses from their ideal position in the ring. Using the proposed algorithm and the measured positions of the xenon-124 nuclei beam in the ion synchrotron Nuclotron beam chamber at injection and extraction energies during RUN IV, the geometric displacements of the Nuclotron quadrupole lenses were estimated.
