Abstract
The main objective of this work is the creation of a quadrupole lens (QL) based on permanent magnets (PMs) for the DC-140 cyclotron beam extraction system. We discuss the features of developing a method for the incoming inspection of PMs using mathematical models of a precision magnetic lens system. For the proposed QL design, the incoming inspection technique of PMs has been developed, and the devices and accessories required for this purpose have been manufactured. Three samples of QLs have been assembled: a technological prototype and main and control samples.
