Abstract

Child abuse encompasses all forms of physical, psychological or sexual mistreatment inflicted on a child. This article discusses the diagnostic approach in cases of suspected child abuse. It then outlines the main aspects of care, the coordination between medical, social, and judicial actors, and the importance of reporting to the authorities in order to protect a minor efficently.
