Abstract
Herein, we present a case of transforming from a nonporous crystal to a porous crystal, achieved by molecular functionalization of a perethylated pillar[5]arene using two carbazole units. The porous crystal demonstrates an enhanced iodine capture behavior and outstanding recyclability.
