Recognized as a bioisostere of the -CF<sub>3</sub> and <i>t</i>Bu groups, it has attracted considerable interest in pharmaceutical, agrochemical, and materials science applications. Recent progress in pentafluorosulfanylation has led to the development of innovative approaches, facilitating the efficient incorporation of -SF<sub>5</sub> into diverse molecular frameworks. This review explores key advancements while highlighting emerging applications. Abstract
