Laryngeal Bullous Pemphigoid: A challenging presentation of a rare disease.

Abstract

Introduction: Bullous pemphigoid (BP) is a rare autoimmune disorder characterized typically by skin manifestations and rarely mucosal involvement.

Case report: We present here a very unusual and challenging case of BP with exclusive laryngeal involvement at presentation.

Discussion and conclusion: This case highlights the challenges encountered in the diagnosis and management of BP with laryngeal mucosal involvement and underscores the importance of proper biopsy technique to enable an accurate and timely diagnosis.
