Abstract

Introduction: We present a case that demonstrates the importance of imaging in the accurate diagnosis of inflammatory joint diseases. The judicious use of X-ray imaging enabled the identification of calcifications characteristic of a crystal deposition disease, leading to a change in both diagnosis and treatment.
