The paper aims to review its utilization by USAF, correlated with its applicability in the private sector, in different domains. By reviewing these topics, the paper assesses its suitability for optimizing and redesigning procedures within the Romanian Air Force (ROAF) in order to obtain similar efficiency gains and resource allocation optimization. For the analysis of ROAF are considered some of the main topics which require improvements such as human resources management, from education to employment and personnel retention, leadership, and technology used for training, missions, and maintenance. Abstract

The recorded achievements of the Lean Six Sigma in the private sector demonstrably influenced the United States Air Force (USAF) to adopt these specific management processes in 2009.
