[Chemsex: a growing and evolving practice].

Abstract

Chemsex: A GROWING AND EVOLVING PRACTICE. Chemsex, the voluntary use of psychoactive substances to facilitate, initiate, increase, intensify or prolong sexual relations and performance, often involves multiple substance use. These include synthetic cathinones, methamphetamine, ketamine and cocaine, all of which can induce psychic disorders. This article presents the current state of this practice, its psychiatric complications and its management. As dual pathologies are frequent, it is essential that people with problematic chemsex use should be able to have dual psychiatric and addictological follow-up when necessary.
