Abstract

The measurement uncertainty budget (MUB) of the 5 MN·m torque standard machine at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) is presented in this paper. The measurement uncertainty (MU) influences are identified and methods are presented to measure these influences, namely the reference force transducer, the moment shunts and the lever arm length. Also, the experimental results are described and discussed in this article.
