Abstract

A 16-needle electrospinning spinneret at trapezoidal array with two 2-needle auxiliary electrodes in broadside part, is proposed, and electric field uniformity of the spinneret needle tip, is studied, by changing the geometric size and position of auxiliary electrodes using Comsol Multiphysics and Taguchi method. The results showed that the uniformity of electric field was best when the distance between spinneret and auxiliary electrode was equal to 21 mm, arrangement angle of auxiliary electrode 120°, spacing between two adjacent needles of auxiliary electrode 18 mm, needle length of auxiliary electrode 13 mm, needle diameter of auxiliary electrode 2.5 mm.
