Abstract

Medicine offers a wide range of possibilities that can help the physician to improve the wound healing process and obtain satisfactory aesthetic results for the patient.
Healing is a complex process that is influenced by both exogenous and endogenous factors, ranging from the patient's nutritional status to the length of time the wound has been healing. These factors can act both to the benefit and detriment of proper healing.
Hyaluronic acid, carboxytherapy, light-based therapies such as laser and proper nutrition are some of the most widely described elements that allow us to influence these factors in favour of better healing.
