Abstract
Background and Purpose: This study assessed the validity and reliability of the English version of the Hospital Culture of Nursing Research Scale among nurses. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted with 352 nurses in the Philippines from December 2023 to January 2024. The data were analyzed using principal components analysis (PCA), and coefficient alpha was calculated to assess reliability. Results: The PCA yielded five distinct components that explained a cumulative variance of 75.2%. The overall coefficient alpha for the scale was .959, while the subscales achieved values ranging from 0.860 to 0.944. Conclusion: The study showed that the tool can assess the perceptions of English-speaking nurses regarding their hospital's culture of nursing research.
