Abstract
The present study determined the complete chloroplast genome of Allophylus viridis, an important medicinal plant. The chloroplast genome of this species was 169,213 bp in length, consisting of a pair of inverted repeats of 32,829 bp separated by the large single copy of 85,297 bp and small single copy of 18,258 bp regions. 134 genes were determined, including 89 protein-coding genes, 37 tRNA genes, and 8 rRNA genes. The overall GC content of the complete chloroplast genome was 38.0%. A phylogenetic analysis indicated that A. viridis was closely related to other species of Sapindoideae. This study offers a valuable resource for conservation biology, genetic engineering, and medicinal research.
