Abstract
Pancreatic panniculitis is an inflammation of subcutaneous adipose tissue associated with acute or chronic pancreatic diseases. Two-year-old girl presented with pain abdomen, fever, and multiple tender erythematous nodules over legs, abdomen and back for 1 week. Computed tomography scan suggestive of acute necrotizing pancreatitis. Skin biopsy revealed typical features of septal panniculitis. The child improved with supportive treatment with regression of skin nodules. Although rare, physicians must be aware of this condition closely mimicking vasculitis to avoid delay in diagnosis.
