In article number 2400153, Anna Lucia Pellegrino, Graziella Malandrino, and co-workers show that fine tuning of the operative parameters of the sol-gel/spin coating process allows to control, reproducibly and selectively, the formation of crystalline structure of the films, i.e., cubic versus hexagonal NaGdF4 structure. The hexagonal Eu-doped NaGdF4 thin films show promising downshifting properties, thus confirming the potential of these systems as efficient DS layers in PV technolog.
