Abstract

Metal nanoclusters represent a promising class of nanomaterials due to their atomically precise characterizations and intriguing chemical-physical properties. Their preparation is the cornerstone for advancing nanocluster science. The Concept by P. Pan, X. Kang and M. Zhu and co-workers (DOI: 10.1002/chem.202404528) outlines four methodologies for nanocluster preparation: kinetic control, seeded growth, in situ two-phase ligand exchange, and metal exchange.
