Abstract
Tritium labelled radioligands have been extremely useful to advance neurochemistry discovery. In particular, [N-methyl-3H] radioligands have been exceptionally valuable in receptor binding and other neurochemical assays because of their very high specific activity. Regarding [N-methyl-3H] labelled substances, examination of one of them has revealed its long-term retention of specific activity which is consistent with the phenomenon of tritium decay catastrophe.
