Abstract
Oxidation-Responsive Biomaterial Coatings and Films
This artwork depicts HECMTP, a cellulose-derived, oxidation-responsive coating or film for implanted medical devices. HECMTP scavenges reactive oxygen species from its local environment, undergoing a hydrophobic-to-hydrophilic transition that results in softening and a reduction in biofouling at the coating interface. More details can be found in article 2403021 by Timothy M. O'Shea and co-workers.
