Abstract

We observed \(2403 \pm 98\) events of \({{\pi }^{ - }} + Be \to \phi {{\pi }^{0}} + A{\text{*}}\) reaction collected in exposition of the VES setup Be target by \(2.5 \times {{10}^{{11}}}\) \({{\pi }^{ - }}\)-mesons with the 29 GeV momentum. A –\(\phi {{\pi }^{0}}\) production in a vector state is mostly observed with the recoil \(\Delta (1232)\) isobar in a process with \(\pi \) exchange dominance. The \(\phi {{\pi }^{0}}\) mass spectrum has a complicated shape.
