Abstract

This work is aimed at providing directions and suggestions for the design of the Vacuum Feedthroughs (VFTs) for Ion Cyclotron Heating (ICH) system in the Divertor Tokamak Test facility (DTT). To this scope we focused on electromagnetic (EM) numerical simulation of VFTs having different shapes. The analysis of the scattering parameters and the EM fields are merged with the investigation of the effect of the dielectric windows on the characteristic impedance of the radio frequency (RF) transmission line (TL). The results will be used to guide the designer in choosing the layout and shape of the VFTs and the related TLs.
