Abstract
Metal–organic framework (MOF) decorated whispering gallery mode (WGM) microcavities are prepared for volatile organic compound (VOC) sensing. The composite microcavity is sensitive to the refractive index changes caused by VOC adsorptions, with a sensitivity of 9.74 nm RIU−1, a detection limit of 3.30 × 10−3 RIU, robust reproducibility, and good resistance to humidity or temperature variations.
