Abstract
Water entry problems have extensive engineering applications and significant academic value. Impact loads have always been a key focus in the study of water entry, with particular emphasis on the influence of wave conditions on these loads in recent years. This study utilized both numerical simulations and experimental methods to investigate the characteristics of impact loads during the vertical water entry of a wedge with constant velocity under wave conditions. The study analyzes the effects of water entry phase angles, wave height, and wavelength on the impact loads. The results indicate that multiple influencing factors interact with each other, and the local inclination angle and wetted width formed by this coupling are crucial determinants of the impact loads.
