Abstract
The paper studies variation in luminescence and thermal intensities through MatLab. Luminescence images are taken from a Sony α7S II DSLR mirrorless camera; snapshots are taken from the experimental video and converted in grey images. The intensity variation is calculated in MatLab. Through this analysis, the stress detection is easy and the afterglow through image analysis is reported. The afterglow intensities from the phosphor materials are analyzed without a spectrometer, and the fast and slow decay time is calculated. The path of light through a WLED torch with 0°, 30° and 45° angles is detected, measured, and studied. The obtained intensity variation can be useful for lighting in the room/hall. Thermal imaging of red-hot iron rods and their intensity variation are obtained at a 5 min time difference. In the present work, it is easy to develop a stress sensor that is useful for structural health monitoring systems.
