Abstract

Virtual nursing is a novel nursing model of care that utilizes experienced nurses providing nursing care remotely using telehealth technologies. This qualitative study focuses on patient experiences after using virtual nursing to complete hospital admission assessments or discharge education. Overall, patients reported mostly neutral or positive experiences with virtual nursing, with only 13% of quotes identified as having negative sentiments. This paper provides valuable insights into how patients perceive virtual nursing, including patient acceptance, the advantages of using virtual nursing, and patient perceptions.
