Abstract
The struggles and delays regarding the permitting of infrastructure projects are an international and multi-sector problem. The latest Journal of Economic Perspectives (JEP—the prominent publication of the American Economic Association aiming to bridge the gap between the general interest business and financial press and standard academic economic journals) devoted an important survey paper to the subject by a prominent Yale economist, well known for his research on the costly and disruptive economic features of permitting.1
