Abstract
Insulin-Regulated Aminopeptidase
In septic platelets, insulin-regulated aminopeptidase (IRAP) adsorbs ribosomal proteins and cooperates with autophagosomal proteins to promote lysosomal degradation of r-proteins, thereby providing amino acids required for durative glycolysis, which ensures mitochondrial function and finally provides abundant ATP for prolonged platelet activation. In addition, IRAP is also involved in SNARE complex assembly to facilitate granules release.
