Abstract
Contemporary outdoor mural paintings are artworks affected by exposure to sunlight, rain, and environmental pollutants. Three commercial white paints used by street artists are characterized by a multianalytical approach. Analysis of cross sections from samples of two mural paintings reveals the painting technique, while characterization of their materials explains differences in their conservation conditions.
