Abstract

This letter comments on the study by M. Weinberg et al. (see record 2023-64744-001), which explores the intricate relationships between public stigma attached to posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and various personal characteristics like self-esteem, spirituality, and well-being. The study provides a framework for future research and public health strategies, especially in postdisaster scenarios like the one experienced in Taiwan. As we continue to explore the multifaceted nature of PTSD, integrating findings from diverse cultural and societal contexts will be crucial for developing effective, empathetic, and inclusive treatment approaches.
