Abstract
In this efficient approach, thiamine hydrochloride serves as an organocatalyst for the rapid synthesis of 1,3-diaryl-3-arylamino-propan-1-ones via a one-pot, multicomponent reaction (MCR). This protocol enables the production of β-amino carbonyl compounds using acetophenones with various substituted aromatic amines and aromatic aldehydes via a Mannich condensation reaction.
