Abstract
A flexible suction ureteral access sheath (FS-UAS) is not essential for every endoscopic renal stone treatment. To date, endoscopic combined intrarenal surgery (ECIRS) is the most efficient approach for treating any renal stone. Rigorous randomized controlled trials comparing retrograde intrarenal surgery with an FS-UAS versus ECIRS should be performed before superiority or even equivalence can be claimed.
