[Norovirus - an update for practitioners].

Abstract

Introduction: Norovirus is one of the most infectious pathogens of all. Norovirus often poses a major logistical challenge for medical practices and hospitals in terms of isolation, visiting restrictions, material requirements, cleaning services, time off for sick staff etc. Serious complications are rare, but those affected by Norovirus can feel surprisingly ill. Dehydration and its consequences can occur, especially in the very old and very young.
