Abstract
The paper considers the use of ultrasonic treatment for integrated purification of liquids. It has long been known that ultrasound can be used to purify the liquid from macroscopic impurities. This paper considers an additional mechanism of purification: deionization of the liquid due to electrical effects that accompany the ultrasonic influence on the liquid. It is shown that the effect is quite noticeable, and the proposed technique is promising for further development.

Electrochimica Acta is an international journal. It is intended for the publication of both original work and reviews in the field of electrochemistry. Electrochemistry should be interpreted to mean any of the research fields covered by the Divisions of the International Society of Electrochemistry listed below, as well as emerging scientific domains covered by ISE New Topics Committee.
