[Assessment of pain and support for parents in the neonatal unit].

Abstract

Better assessment of pain and discomfort in babies, while considering parents as collaborators: this is the concern around which the Lille neonatal clinic has based its approach. Guided by the Hospitalized Newborn Charter and the Newborn Individualized Developmental Care and Assessment Program (Nidcap), the team chose the Néo-comfort scale to assess pain and the booklet "Réconforter votre bébé en néonatalogie" to support parents.
