Cost-Effective DNA Storage System

In article number 2411354, Bo Duan, Dongbo Bu, Guangming Tan, Fei Chen, and co-workers introduce a novel, cost-effective “DNA-Movable-Type Storage” system, inspired by movable type printing. This system employs pre-fabricated DNA movable types—short, double-stranded DNA oligonucleotides that encode specific payload, address, and checksum data. The cover illustrates the process of printing, storing, and accurately decoding text, images, audio, and video data using a movable type inkjet printer based on this efficient DNA storage system.
