[Oncology: addressing intimate life and sexual health in nursing consultations].

Abstract

In the oncology context, the management of sexuality disorders is part of the complementary supportive care to be offered to patients since the February 23, 2017 instruction from the Direction générale de l'offre de soins. All healthcare professionals involved in the oncology care pathway and all nurses within the scope of their own competencies have a role to play, as they are able to listen, identify needs and refer to an appropriate professional concerning intimate and sexual life.
