In this presentation, Roland Muntz, president of National Association of prostate cancer patients (ANAMACaP), shares the perspective of a long-term prostate cancer survivor on the current state and future potential of vectorized internal radiotherapy (VIR) in managing advanced prostate cancer. Emphasizing the role of patient associations, Roland Muntz explores challenges related to access to innovative therapies, authorization processes, resource limitations, and the importance of prevention. The patient's experience highlights the crucial need for collaboration among patients, healthcare providers, and policymakers to ensure broader access to life-enhancing treatments while addressing regulatory and logistical barriers in nuclear medicine.
