We then study the properties of the transition density functions of <span><math><msup><mrow><mi>X</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>D</mi></mrow></msup></math></span>, including the strict positivity property as well as their sharp two-sided bounds in <span><math><msup><mrow><mi>C</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>1</mn><mo>,</mo><mn>1</mn></mrow></msup></math></span> domains in <span><math><msup><mrow><mi>R</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>d</mi></mrow></msup></math></span>. Abstract
Let , , and X be the rectilinear α-stable process on . We first present a geometric characterization of open subset so that the part process of X in D is irreducible. We then study the properties of the transition density functions of , including the strict positivity property as well as their sharp two-sided bounds in domains in . Our bounds are shown to be sharp for a class of domains.
