Abstract
A new compound, 2-chloro-N-[4-(5-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)phenyl]acetamide, was obtained using a multi-step reaction and converted into the corresponding aldehyde. The latter was used for the synthesis of new Schiff bases derivatives. These compounds were characterized via physical and spectral data (IR, 1H NMR) besides to CHN analysis of some of them and biological activity. Such types of activities as enzyme inhibition, antimicrobial and antifungal activity were studied.
