With the use of scale surveys and structural equation modelling, this study investigated the driving mechanism of dust prevention behaviour tendency among coal miners under the influence of internal force field, situational force field, and group dynamics from the perspective of force field. It was found that coal miners with a strong tendency towards dust prevention behaviour under the influence of internal force field were more likely to form dust prevention behaviour under the moderating effect of situational force field and group dynamics. This study provided theoretical and empirical references for coal miners, coal mining enterprises, and governments to effectively prevent and control occupational hazards caused by dust.
