Abstract
We herein treat using the finite cluster approximation (FCA), two defective octahedral and double-tetrahedral chain-like structures with multi-spin interactions, where the nodal and the square (or triangular) cluster sites are occupied respectively by spin-3/2 and spin-1/2. The impact of the bond concentration p and the multi-spin interactions (J4, J3) on the phase diagrams and magnetizations has been thoroughly examined. First, by discarding multi-spin interactions, the second-order transition consistently manifests with the possibility of compensation behavior only for the double-tetrahedral chain under feeble dilution. Interestingly, the insertion of multi-spin interactions plays a relevant role in the appearance of the compensation phenomena with a multitude of Tcomp profiles. In addition, a variety of interesting features such as horizontal reentrance and tricritical behavior emerge. Finally, at low temperatures according to p and J4 (or J3) strength, the order is even stable (Tc ≠ 0) or will be destroyed (Tc = 0) at a critical threshold pc.
