Abstract
Existing methods of acid tar processing are discussed. An alternative method is proposed: processing of acid tar from the sulfuric acid treatment of oil fractions by addition to slow coking batch. The coking products of mixtures of conditioned and acid tar are compared. The influence of added acid tar on the yield and quality of the coking products is considered.
