The review highlights key molecular pathways, including oxidative stress, inflammation, and autophagy, and their differential roles in the vascular aging of males and females. Aging remains the foremost risk factor for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, surpassing traditional factors in epidemiological significance.
