Data collection occurred between October 2020 and April 2022, following the research phases: situational diagnosis, exploratory phase, protocol definition, implementation, and evaluation.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>the outcome was the adaptation and implementation of a nursing care protocol for children.</p><p><strong>Final considerations: </strong>the adaptation and implementation process can be an effective approach to improving care, strengthening nursing as a profession with a solid foundation in scientific and clinical evidence. Abstract
Objectives: to describe the process of implementing an adapted protocol for pediatric nursing care in a health unit located in a municipality in the Amazon Region.
