It is observed that couples are committing suicide together in Indian society due to various social circumstances. The present study examines the nature of couple suicide and its causes using egoistic approach of suicide. The data have been collected from leading newspapers of India from 1st January 2023 to 15th May 2024 using systematic content analysis. The present research has identified that love affair is the cause of suicide in most cases of couple suicide. The study also revealed that about 50.59% of couples who are in the age group of 16-25 years committed suicide together due to love affairs. Abstract
