The review also provides insights into how CRAB infections are currently managed worldwide and why novel therapeutic regimens are needed. The peculiarity of <em>A. baumannii</em> and its often reported virulence factors have been discussed further. Abstract

Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB) is a top-priority pathogen causing a nosocomial infection that increases morbidity and mortality.
