The review is based on the study of original Russian and English-language articles and our own extensive clinical experience. References are made to statistically reliable, randomized and placebo-controlled studies of the last 20 years, in some cases to small and open-ended studies indicating their low evidence. The analysis shows a variety of opinions on this issue united by an understanding of the promising role of a biopsychosocial approach to the diagnosis and treatment of CPP in GE.
